Olivier Murguet's job at Renault Group is easy to describe, but tough to carry out: As the Executive Vice President of "Sales & Regions," a position created just about a year ago, he heads all five global Renault regions.It was Thierry Bolloré, CEO of Renault Group, who chose him for this very influential position last November. Murguet reports directly to him. The 52-year-old is well-prepared for his duties: He had already held various international executive sales positions at Renault. In April 2015, for example, he was put in charge of all of the business in Latin America, one of Renault's most important export markets, way ahead of China. "Reacting quickly to changes and seizing the opportunities in the regions together with the other regional heads is crucial, especially outside of Europe," says Murguet, describing his job. At the Automobilwoche Kongress, he will be offering an exciting insight into this key area for Renault's foreign business, which is becoming increasingly complex.
